Welcome

Welcome to Matrix Private School. We add depth and substance by enhancing the national-level curriculums set and approved by the Ministry of Education, Malaysia. We are one of a select group of schools in Malaysia to be certified a Dual Language Programme (DLP) school, offering Mathematics and Science in both Bahasa Melayu and English. By enhancing the quality of the core curriculum our students are able to dig deep and maximise their full potential.

At Matrix Global Schools, East truly meets West, combining the Malaysian curriculum in an international setting, with students across the campus sharing facilities, break times, CCAs and uniting together for school sports teams.

Student Wellbeing

We focus on the thing that matters most – your child’s welfare. Young people flourish when they are treated with care, kindness and respect. We take the time to nurture positive mental health and good physical health, as well as the social wellbeing of each young person in our care.

Care is one of our core values and central to our supportive learning environment. As well as a Head of Pastoral, all teachers take responsibility through the tutor group and Personal Social Health and Emotional (PSHE) programmes. All students are assigned to a House, each of which has a House captain. The schools and year groups mix together, with older pupils acting as buddies for the younger children.

Learning

Malaysian National Curriculum – Primary

Primary students in Matrix Private School (aged 7-12) undertake the Malaysian National Primary School Standard Curriculum, or Kurikulum Standard Sekolah Rendah (KSSR), with English language as the main language of instruction for learning. The aim of our primary level education is to equip learners with a strong foundation of language, science knowledge, mathematics skills and other supporting subjects that are in line with the goals of the National philosophy of Education which seeks to optimise the intellectual, emotional and spiritual potential of learners.

Our approach combines the best of both Malaysian and global approaches. As a certified Dual Language Programme (DLP) school, we offer Mathematics and Science subjects in both Malay Language and English Language. There is also an option for students to sit for the Cambridge Primary Checkpoint Examination for English Language, Science and Mathematics subjects in their Primary Six. Furthered by our approach in experiential, differentiated & discovery learning, which promotes an individualised, engagement-driven learning approach that helps our students become independent and proactive learners to develop the skills necessary for success.
